Post-Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving. The usual kids came over, along with my favorite cousins. We played Party Mania. Does ANYONE remember it when it came out? It's a simply exhilarating and fast-paced interactive video game with two (but really just one) cute guys, two dorky guys, some best friends, an Aunt Frannie, smiling Mom, disastrous younger Brother, and hardly-handy Dad. At one point, we realized that the game is older than my youngest cousin. Man, I am old.
Over the past three days, I watched: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2.5 times), Mr. and Mrs. Iyer, Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya, Born into Brothels, Kaal, several episodes of Everybody Loves Raymond, several song scenes from Hindi movies and Diwali shows. Goodness, my eyes are tired. Good thing I also slept alot.
We went shopping two days afterfor goldfish medication and cake. On the way, we saw one of the many children who live on our block. The first time I met this girl and her younger sister was during the black-out that knocked out the power from half the eastern coast. They had come to our house for some reason and we all tried out the boardgame that my sister and I had made that very day. It was a trivia sort of game based on a school year. If you answer the question right, you finally get to graduate and whatnot. Anyway, the girl and her sister and several other kids came over that day and we all had a fun time, sweltering, but having fun nevertheless. Back to post-BlackFriday -- the girl said that we were the most fun people she had ever hung out with before in her life. Yes, she was like 12 years old so who had she really hung out with in her short life, but still --- I felt touched. WE'RE FUN! =)
We bought a deliciously irresistable cheesecake. We also saw that the fins of our goldwish were no longer transparent and it looked like it got its appetite back. Thanks MelaFix!
